A busy market is great news for sellers, but it can be frustrating for house hunters, who are faced with far more competition than usual.
There are a few things you can do to stay ahead in a busy market, thankfully, so check Rightmove on your phone one more time and read on!
Speak to us first and then refresh your property portal search
Speak to us, we can let you know of properties that are coming to market in the near future as well as the ones that are newly listed. Check out all the portals, all of the time. Keep scrolling through new listings, looking for fresh properties and reductions. You need to see as many properties as possible so you can make the best choice possible.
Apply for your mortgage-in-principle
If you have your finances organised then you can be out of the starting blocks straight away. Estate agents will want to know that you have a mortgage agreed (in principle) if you plan to make an offer on your potential new home. Speak to a financial advisor and get the ball rolling - if we can help point you in the right direction let us know.
Engage a solicitor
Having a solicitor ready to go demonstrates that you are serious and committed to the buying process. Getting the engagement paperwork started can help push you into the lead when an offer is put forward to the vendor by the agent.
Get your own property on the market
