The property market is back in business.....but not as we have known it!
Yesterday evening the national press published articles about the 'Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) Regulations 2020, and the lifting of lockdown measures surrounding the property market.

Subsequently, the Housing Secretary, Robert Jenrick, has said that estate and letting agents can return to work from today, 13th May 2020.

We were extremley surpised by this announcement, as I am sure others were too.

Fortunately, we had already organised Health & Safety protocols in readiness of the lockdown being lifted. We have sourced and purchased PPE to enable us to carry out property viewings and allow people to make appointments to visit our office. Our doors remain locked, but all of our team are available via phone and email. Visits to our office in Brackley must be pre-arranged and subject to strict social distancing measures.

What we must do is protect our staff, our clients and those within our community. At the very start of the lockdown we were able to offer virtual viewings, valuations and property inspections and these have been successfully carried out over the last 7 weeks. We intend to continue with these 'virtual' services in the first instance, but we are prepared and able to carry out visits to properties subject to strict protocols. As alluded to previously, what we are not prepared to do is put anyone at risk.

All agents have a weight of responsibility in their role of getting the property market moving again and we, for one, will follow the Government’s health and safety guidelines and ultimately look after the wellbeing of our clients, our team and our community.

We wish you well and look forward to speaking to you soon.
